The Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) is the official Korean government certification evaluating Korean language ability for non-native speakers. Administered by NIIED, it is the globally recognised standard for Korean language proficiency.
TOPIK scores are required for university admissions, employment at Korean companies, GKS scholarship eligibility, and Korean visa applications.
A TOPIK certificate opens doors across academics, careers, and immigration in Korea.
Level 3+ for undergraduate, Level 4+ for Master's and PhD programs at Korean universities.
Better prospects at Samsung, Hyundai, LG, and Korean firms in India and Korea — TOPIK is often a requirement.
Level 3+ preferred for most GKS programs — your TOPIK score significantly strengthens your scholarship application.
Required for permanent residency (F-2) and marriage visa (F-6) applications in South Korea.
Competitive edge in Korean language professional roles across business, law, and media industries.
Official Korean government certification accepted in 90+ countries and institutions worldwide.
Two formats — TOPIK I for beginners and TOPIK II for intermediate to advanced learners.
Korean Cultural Centre India (KCCI) is the official conducting body for TOPIK in India, with test centres in New Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, and other cities.
TOPIK exams are held twice a year — typically in April and October. Registration opens 2–3 months before the exam date.
TOPIK I: ₹1,000 • TOPIK II: ₹1,300
Register through the official TOPIK website or KCCI portal.
